Robilotta, James T. Leading Imperfectly: The Value of Being Authentic For Leaders, Professionals, and Human Beings. First ed., Lake Placid,NY, Aviva Publishing, 2015.
This book is James Robilotta’s take on the Authentic Leadership model created by Bill George and implements into his own life. The purpose of this book is that people will read this book and learn how to implement Authentic Leadership into their daily lives. It talks about how everyone is a leader and you do not need any special titles, you just need to be yourself and that is all you need. This book also gives people an opportunity to reflect on their lives. This book is important because people need to know that how they are as people is enough to become a leader.
Dr. Tim Elmore, “Habitudes: Images that form Leadership, Habits & Attitudes” Books 1-4, 2013
These books provides the reader with an analogy to help teach different leadership models and thoughts. Each book has a different focus. One is leading yourself, next one is connecting with others, next leading others, and last is changing cultures. These books helps to create well rounded leaders. These books are structured like a workbooks. This is similar to “Leading Imperfectly” that it gives the reader time to reflect on what they just read in the chapter. These books gives people more language to convey and notice different leadership styles.

Carol Ritberger, “What Color is Your Personality?”,
I personally think that personality test are both fun and important. Personality tests can help a person understand what they naturally act and go about their lives. The author Carol Ritberger is a little hippy dippy and some parts of the book are a little out there. This book has the opportunity to take the Personality Color Indicator and then read about their color. It gives a general overview of each color. It also gives why each color might have a meltdown. The book also talks about stress and where pain is help for each color, and many other things. I see this book being a great way for people to have a chance to have an introspective moment to think about oneself instead of others.

Patton, Claudia. "Why Leaders Need Resilience." Edelman, Claudia Patton, 8 Aug. 2014. Accessed 12 Oct. 2017.
This quick article I see as a way to introduce the idea of resilience into leaders minds and why it is important. The article give a real world example of a moment that people have to be resilience during, this helps for people who are more visual learners and some people actually have actually gone through. This article talks about the qualities people gain when they work towards being a resilient leader. Resilience goes hand and hand with the idea that failing is okay and almost needed to succeed. Like I said earlier this article is just a starting off point for leaders to look into resilience more.

Tom Rath, “Strengths Finder 2.0”,
This has a similar reasoning to why I think “What Color is your Personality” is a good book. “Strengths Finder 2.0” is the book that is based off of the renowned assessment that was created by Gallup called “Strengths Finder”. Strengths Finder has an assessment that gives you a personalized report of what your Top 5 Strength are. These are things that you naturally go to to run and go about your life. This assessment focuses on things that you are already good at they say that at first they are just talents. With some time focusing on what you are good at then what you are bad at then they will become strengths. This book is important because knowing these earlier in life will help you think introspectively about yourself. Also a lot of employers know of Strengths and if you talk about your Strengths it can make you stand out compared to others.

Jenkins, Henry, Sangita Shresthova, Liana Gamber-Thompson, Neta Kligler-Vilenchik, and Arely M. Zimmerman. By Any Media Necessary: The New Youth Activism. New York, New York University Press, 2016.
This book challenges what does leadership look like. This book talks about how media is being used by young people to change the world. New media is such an up and coming idea that people are not sure where to place in corresponding to other activism and leadership. Young people are able to go after a cause that is important to them with people that are half way around the world. The reach for everything is limited-less now. I see this as being a motivator for young to get their voices heard because someone is bound to listen. Leadership does not look like older people with the big fancy title in an office, it is starting to look like young people connecting to others and getting people excited through the internet.
